- WebMGS is an important event in the field of web-basedGIS, which emphasizes a diverse range of topics related tonew web-based developments of geospatial theories,technologies and solutions. This 5th event will take place inWuhan, China in 2017 during the ISPRS Geospatial Week.This ISPRS international workshop, co-organized by ISPRSWG IV/4, WG III/8 and WG V/4, will provide a dedicatedscientific forum for researchers, professionals, governmentdecision-makers and students to exchange and discusscurrent and state-of-the-art advances in web-based mapping,geoprocessing, geospatial information services andapplications, particularly in dealing with big geospatial data.Researchers will have the opportunity to share knowledge,exchange scientific ideas and results, and develop long-termresearch collaborations.

- Prospective authors are invited to submit papersdealing with original and unpublished research onthemes related to the workshop. Accepted papers willbe submitted in one of two categories: TheInternational Annals of the Photogrammetry, RemoteSensing and Spatial InformationSciences, or TheInternational Archives of the Photogrammetry, RemoteSensing and Spatial Information Sciences. Authorsmust choose which category they would like tosubmit to.
