WebMGS is an important event in the field of web-based
GIS, which emphasizes a diverse range of topics related to
new web-based developments of geospatial theories,
technologies and solutions. This 5th event will take place in
Wuhan, China in 2017 during the ISPRS Geospatial Week.
This ISPRS international workshop, co-organized by ISPRS
WG IV/4, WG III/8 and WG V/4, will provide a dedicated
scientific forum for researchers, professionals, government
decision-makers and students to exchange and discuss
current and state-of-the-art advances in web-based mapping,
geoprocessing, geospatial information services and
applications, particularly in dealing with big geospatial data.
Researchers will have the opportunity to share knowledge,
exchange scientific ideas and results, and develop long-term
research collaborations.

Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers
dealing with original and unpublished research on
themes related to the workshop. Accepted papers will
be submitted in one of two categories: The
International Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote
Sensing and Spatial InformationSciences, or The
International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote
Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences. Authors
must choose which category they would like to
submit to.

East Lake International Conference Center (EL-ICC)
The East Lake International Conference Center (EL-
ICC) is a large building with an area of 31,000m2
inside the beautiful East Lake Park, 5km from WHU
campus. There are 32 conference rooms of various
sizes; the largest one can hold 1350 people. The
EL-ICC has 210 hotel rooms(five star) with matching
food services. Within 1km of EL-ICC, there are
Chutian Yuehai Hotel (five star), Guochuang
Chuyuan Hotel (four star), Binghu Hotel (four Star),
Yester Hotel (four star), business hotels and even
guest houses (as low as $10 per night for a bed)
etc. There are more than 1500 hotel rooms within
5km of the EL-ICC.Attractions such as the Hubei
Province Museumare within walking distance of the
EL-ICC.
