artist statement
- My name is annika，I am a fashion designer.My art work are close to life.Most of my work of is fashion design.I like to observe the things I have experienced in my life or the people I have met, and use these perspectives as my artistic inspiration, which will make my works unique and representative of myself.

During this project ,I do a lot of experimentation and development.For example,I take many photos of the body forms and actions when my sister get up.I extract these forms and develop them through print design, cyanotype and textile designs.I have also made many collages about different alarm clocks in the world, and designed a violent alarm clock to wake me up, many of my drawstring designs use big sheets.I also do many experiments to study the silhouette of my design.My projects are like stories and are motivated by my curiosity around why people are lazy and how this can be improved -By using my own experience and those of my friends and family I aim to explore these idea through my designs.
One of my costume pandemic project’s inspiration arose during the recent covid-19.Almost all the students become lazy because of staying at home.everyone observed an interesting and surprising phenomenon(80% students will sleep during the internet class) as getting up was become a vey difficult problem.Therefore, i have used myself and my sister as the research subject in order to find out the best way to get up.
